Client Overview

The client runs a casino brand expanding into Thailand, one of the harder iGaming markets to hold a position in. They came to us with a specific problem: their branded SERP wouldn't stay still.

Every time someone searched the brand name, or any variation of it, the results page got rebuilt within three to seven days. Competitor satellites kept taking the top spots and pulling away traffic from people searching for the client by name. Users looking for the client were landing on someone else's offer instead.

As the SERP kept changing every few days, ranking once wasn't enough. We had to keep adjusting and re-ranking continuously to hold the positions we won.

Strategy and Implementation: What was done for the client
step-by-step

Read the SERP before committing to anything

The first thing we did was study how this specific SERP behaved. The turnover was fast and constant, with sites coming and going every few days. That told us a single-scheme defense would break. Rank the top with one stack, and you'd get a week up top followed by a wipeout you can't recover from in time. So the whole strategy was built around one rule: something has to be ranking at all times.

Set up three independent defense layers

Instead of betting on one approach, we ran three layers side by side: classic brand satellites, a canonical network of satellites, and cloaking. The point of running them together was redundancy. If the classic side took a hit, the canonical net was already in motion to cover it, and the other way around. In a SERP that turns over weekly, that overlap isn't a nice-to-have. It's the only way to guarantee you never go dark.

Layered the link velocity

We layered link velocity the same way as the schemes. Crowd links built a believable, natural trust profile. Magic links pushed the satellites up the SERP. Magic-main links amplified the strongest donors and pages.

Indexed, ranked, then held the SERP

The first month was focused on indexing, building initial weight, and calibrating the scheme for this niche and SERP, with no top positions expected or achieved. From month two the scheme started landing, taking hits, and recovering in line with SERP cycles, which is how this type of defense behaves. We used two playbooks on demand: re-gluing classic satellites to a fresh domain when one dropped, and expanding the canonical network with drops while rotating the ranking domain as needed.

Summary of Achievements

When we started in January 2026, the client was getting none of their own branded traffic in this market. Competitor satellites owned the top of the SERP, and users searching the brand by name were handed to someone else.

Here's how the first six months played out.

Month 1. No top positions, and that was expected. The month went into indexing, building initial weight, and calibrating the scheme against this exact niche and SERP.

Month 2. Two of 20 classic satellites broke into the top 10 on the main brand keyword, and one canonical-network satellite landed there too. All three held for about two weeks, then dropped, right in line with the churn of this SERP. Recovery was fast and split by scheme. 

With the canonical network, we swapped the brand-satellite domain, swapped the canonical site, and fed drop domains into the network, which brought it back to top 5 within a week, with another satellite climbing into the top 10 in the same window. 

With the classic satellites, we re-glued the two original top sites to fresh domains, preserving their accumulated weight and restoring positions without starting over. By the end of the month, 15 of 20 classic satellites were sitting on pages 1–2 across the brand cluster.

Months 3 to 6. We re-glued classic satellites to new domains whenever one dropped, and kept expanding the canonical network with drops while rotating the ranking domain as needed. As more satellites stabilized across more brand variants, the presence compounded, which is what the traffic curve below reflects: not a one-off climb, but a share of the top held through constant motion.

Six months in, the brand pulls over 36,800 organic visits a month from a standing start. More important than the number is the stability behind it. The brand cluster is defended across login, register, sign-up and adjacent variants, recovery from a drop now takes days rather than leaving a gap, and the operation holds its share of the top through a SERP that keeps rebuilding itself every week. The client went from losing branded users to someone else, to owning their own name in one of iGaming's toughest geos, with a defense built to keep holding it.
