Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CBDO to scale our SEO agency. You will develop new business directions, build strategic partnerships, and increase company revenue.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Business Development experience in digital agencies or SEO companies
  • Proven track record of attracting and retaining major corporate clients with budgets of $10K+/month
  • Deep understanding of the SEO services market and digital marketing landscape
  • Experience in building sales departments and implementing CRM systems
  • Strong negotiation skills at the C-suite level
  • Knowledge of technical SEO aspects for effective client communication
  • Successful experience in building and developing teams of 10+ people
  • Experience in managing distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration

  • Developing agency growth strategy and expansion into new markets
  • Building systems for key account acquisition and management
  • Developing partnership networks and collaborations with other agencies
  • Launching new agency services and products
  • Optimizing and scaling sales processes
  • Managing the Business Development team
  • Developing a personal brand and representing the company at industry events
  • Building strong teams through hiring, training, and employee development
  • Creating systems for talent motivation and development within the team

  • Monthly revenue growth
  • Number of new enterprise clients
  • Average deal size and customer LTV
  • Number of successful partnership programs
