Our Experience at Sigma Rome

SiGMA Central Europe 2025 in Rome became one of the largest iGaming gatherings in Europe’s history, bringing together more than 30,000 delegates, 1,000+ sponsors and exhibitors, and 550+ expert speakers under one roof at Fiera Roma.

This year the energy was as intense on the expo floor as it was in the conference halls, with sessions covering regulation, AI, technology trends, affiliate strategies, payments, blockchain, and the future shape of the gaming market — basically everything that keeps operators, affiliates and tech leaders strategizing long after the event ends.

We spent our days meeting operators, affiliates, platform providers, regulators, and tech innovators, sharing insights on SEO, link building, brand protection, and how to convert search visibility into real traffic growth.

Rome showed that Italy’s online iGaming market has huge potential, with €16 billion in total gambling revenue but only about 25 % online, meaning operators and affiliates are now racing to localize and expand into these digital channels.

Industry leaders dug into EU licensing frameworks, cross‑jurisdictional enforcement, AML/KYC challenges, and how compliance shapes operational strategy.

Brand leaders emphasised the reality of rising acquisition costs and fragmentation of audience behaviour. Operators must double down on data segmentation, localisation and efficient targeting, rather than relying on broad generic campaigns.
