PureKana is a well-known and trusted provider of high-quality, affordable wellness products made from hemp-derived CBD. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, PureKana offers a diverse range of hemp CBD products, including capsules, beverage enhancers, topical salves, edibles, vape devices, and even treats for pets.
In early November 2021, PureKana approached Natural Links after experiencing a significant drop in traffic and a prolonged plateau in their website’s performance.
Primary Goals & Challenges
Based on the existing business priorities, the Client’s team defined three main goals to fulfill during our cooperation:
Grow the volume of Google search traffic x3 in the necessary geos.

As an additional goal, we also decided to increase brand awareness for the Client, strengthen the online reputation, and run PR activities to gain authority for PureKana in the CBD niche.

No decisions should take place without data. So we have performed the initial SEO audit to collect and prioritize technical SEO issues, and content gaps as well as evaluate the quality and quantity of backlinks for the Client’s website.

Identify Growth Points: We pinpointed key areas for organic traffic growth and developed a comprehensive strategy aligned with the client’s urgency and budget constraints.
Address Core Google Update Issues: The critical issues hampering organic growth were related to Google’s Core Update focusing on E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness). We implemented optimization recommendations in line with Google’s technical manual, ensuring website parameters met E-A-T standards.
Keyword Optimization: For key traffic-generating pages (main, catalog, landing pages), we identified wide clusters of search request keywords and naturally incorporated them into existing content.

We managed to launch a blog content machine. The main goal was to set up a process of regular article posting following SEO technical assignments. We also have developed a plan for constant product updates and reviews and implemented this plan as practical guidance.
